Butterfly Girls

One of Lost Creek's longstanding traditions is hosting our annual Butterfly Girls Camp for girls in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. We are proud to announce that the camp is returning this year in 2023! The dates for the overnight camp are scheduled for Friday, September 8th and Saturday, September 9th!

What is Butterfly Girls?

Butterfly Girls is a movement reaching girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade for Christ through exposure to life-giving truths. Join girls and gals from all walks of life as we participate in joy-building, faith challenges, music, and so much more! It's not just open to the children... all other "gals" are welcome to participate as well! We will have a short parenting session on Saturday at 3:00 pm titled "Molding Little Minds". Feel free to come to camp with your daughter or to volunteer!

What should my child expect from this camp?

Your child will be exposed to life-giving and biblical truths in engaging activities, games, and age-appropriate lessons. They will leave camp with a new passion for loving Christ and others. They will also make many new friends along the way!

What is the cost of camp? Where do I register?

The registration cost for your child is $30. If you are signing up as a volunteer adult leader, it is free. The cost of registration will include a camp t-shirt and goodie bag. REGISTRATION IS CURRENTLY CLOSED, CHECK BACK NEXT YEAR FOR OUR 2024 CAMP!

Where will Butterfly Girls Camp take place?

The camp will take place at the Oak Park Retreat Center in Perkins, Oklahoma. The address is 805 E Kirk Ave, Perkins, OK 74059. Oak Park Retreat Center is proudly owned by Lost Creek United Methodist Church.

When does the camp start? Is it overnight?

Check-in for the camp will begin at 4:30 on Friday. The Friday portion of the camp will last until 9:00 pm, when those who are not staying the night for the slumber party will be released. Saturday's portion will begin at 8:00 am and will wrap up around 4:30 pm when all the children will be released. The entire camp schedule can be seen in the PDF by clicking on this link.

If my child is staying for the slumber party, am I required to stay with them? What should we bring to the slumber party?

If your child is participating in the slumber party Friday night they must be accompanied by an adult woman (mother, grandmother, aunt, mentor, etc.) Make sure to bring your favorite stuffed animal, pillow, blanket, and toiletries!

Is food provided at camp?

Yes! We will provide dinner on Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and snacks!

Can I volunteer to help out?

Yes! We are looking for adult mentors and camp leaders. You can sign up to volunteer with the link below on QGiv. Please email Kiersten at lostcreekbutterflygirls@gmail.com to let her know that you plan to volunteer!
