First Time Guests

What Time Do Services Start?

There are two Worship Services each Sunday morning:  8:30 and 11:00

The Worship Services are essentially identical in focus and substance.  Some “cosmetic” changes occur due to music and participants.  Both services offer a wide range of music including traditional hymns and contemporary music.   There are three music teams that rotate through the services.  Worship is participatory and somewhat informal.

Sunday School classes for all ages meet at 9:45

What Can I Expect?

We want you to feel right at home with us. Greeters welcome you into our building and many friendly folks will be available to make you comfortable.

For the majority of people attending Lost Creek, this is the first United Methodist Church they have ever attended.  There is enormous diversity among Lost Creek members.  Just about every faith background (including no faith background at all) is present among the family here.  That diversity serves to create the unique spirit of the congregation.  We try to make it as easy as possible for anyone to worship here.

How Shall I Dress?

Simply stated - come as you are. Some are casually dressed, others wear suits and ties, but all are appropriate and welcome.

How Do Children Participate?

Children play an important role in the life of our congregation.  One of the most exciting statistics about Lost Creek is that on any given Sunday, 15 – 17% of those worshiping at Lost Creek will do so in the Nursery or Shine Zone.  That’s almost 1 out of 5 worshipers fourth grade or younger!   Small children are welcome in our Nursery.  Our friendly Nursery staff is trained in first aid and child care.  Our Nursery rooms are equipped with everything needed to make your infant or toddler comfortable and parents feel safe and secure.

Children who are too old for the Nurseries stay with parents in the Sanctuary.  They enjoy the music and worship time before they are dismissed to The Shine Zone to continue their own worship experience.  The Shine Zone Leaders will guide the children through a developmentally appropriate, multi-media and meaningful worship time.  Parents may pick up their children in the Shine Zone at the conclusion of services.
