Lost Creek is a busy
place! We encourage all age groups
at Lost Creek to be engaged in volunteer projects. We volunteer for the events, activities and projects
sponsored by the church, but many people volunteer throughout the community
through public agencies and charities. Lost Creek people can be found actively involved in United Way, hospital
volunteers, Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life and many more.
One of the best ways to
get connected at Lost Creek is to show up at an event and be ready to work. Friendships will be quickly formed, and
you will leave with a rewarding sense of community and accomplishment.
How Do I Know What is Needed?
There are always events
needing workers posted on the CHURCH CALENDAR, and sign-ups are usually
available in the INFORMATION CENTER. If you want to have more specific information about events needing
volunteers, just contact the CHURCH OFFICE, and we will get you started.
Safety First!
At Lost Creek, we have a
comprehensive plan known as Safe
Sanctuaries to guide planning and implementation of programs working with
children, youth and vulnerable adults.
To volunteer in any
program working with children, youth, and vulnerable adults, we request the
following information:
· Completion
of a brief one page application
· A
background check provided at church expense
· Completion of an annual Safe Sanctuaries training
The policies and
procedures that are implemented under Safe
Sanctuaries are created for the protection of our children, youth and
vulnerable adults as well as our volunteers. |
